I currently raise TAMUK-C rabbits in East Texas in a backyard setup. They are mainly raised as a meat source, but I also sell breeding stock from select rabbits. Below is a list of topics you can click on to learn more about starting rabbits for your homestead!

If you are wanting to get into meat rabbits and want a short, simple guide on the TOP domestic breeds to chose from in North America, this guide is complete with photos, details, resources, and which breeds are best for which purpose.
Clan breeding is a rotational inbreeding system for rabbits (and sometimes poultry or livestock) designed to:
Keep a closed herd (no constant outside purchases).
Maintain genetic diversity over time.
Avoid severe inbreeding depression.
It’s usually done with three or more “clans” (lines/families) that you rotate bucks through.
The Butchering Meat Rabbits Blueprint gives you a clear, humane, step-by-step process that builds confidence, saves time, eliminates waste, and helps you turn rabbits into food with respect and self-reliance.
